Bed bugs are most likely to be present in hotels/motels/backpackers and sometimes bed and breakfast establishments. It is very rare to find a bed bug infestation in a residential property.
They will be found around the seams of bed mattresses, in bed bases, framework of the bed and in high population infestations they will also be found in other cracks and crevices further afield, such as skirting boards and bedside tables.
We recommend carrying out an initial inspection where we will discuss treatment options with you at that stage.
Prior to a bed bug treatment
- Strip the affected beds of linen and put through a hot wash cycle.
- Clear the room of personal items
- Depending on the size of the problem, the room/s adjacent should also be inspected and may require treatment as well.
